Making Decisions

What does your dream life look like, and how often do you find yourself thinking "one day"? The moment you start making decisions, you will find your goals and desires coming into focus.
There's a lot of talk about manifestation, but it's only when we decide to start taking action that changes start to happen.
Making decisions that support your goals. It's 6:00 am and your alarm is ringing. This is your moment to choose. Do you hit snooze? Or do you get up to exercise and journal like you promised yourself, the night before.
One choice is easy and comfortable. The other takes discipline and a bit of hard work.
When you start making decisions that are harder, you start building stronger habits. These habits will support your goals, and turn you into the best version of yourself.
Having a strong morning routine will start the days momentum. Checking tasks off our list before even leaving the house, gives us a sense that our day will be a success!
Don't wait for motivation. Motivation is a great tool, but only when it is there. To increase your odds on following through, you must plan to decide your day.
Use a daily planner, write down your daily and weekly intentions. Write your goals and tasks to do each day. According to what psychologists call implementation intentions, the mere action of writing down your goals, increases the odds of following through by 60% !
Leave time for unexpected obstacles. If you plan to go to the gym after work, but you are asked to work late, will you still go? Plan the answer. After a certain time of day, you leave the workout until tomorrow. This allows you to avoid feeling like you failed to meet your goal, you made a decision ahead of time in your course of action.
When you lack the motivation to get started on a larger task, settle on doing a small portion instead. 5-10% of your task is better than zero, and usually once we start a task we tend to do a little more than first expected. Either way you can feel satisfied that you are moving in the right direction.
Visualize your future, decide with intention.
Who do you want to be? Personality, lifestyle, career. Look at each aspect of your life, where are you now, where do you want to improve, where do you want to be in 2 years?
What habits and behaviors need to change? What does the present you do, that your future version doesn't. How can you start change, and where can you find resources to help?
Who do you know that lives the lifestyle you desire? Go talk to them, bring new friends into your social circle. Go to places where those type of people hang out and feel the energy in the room. Can't afford fancy places right now?, go to a classy hotel lobby and order a drink or salad. Act like you belong there, watch people. This helps bring more confidence to become your best.
You have endless possibilities waiting for you to make them happen. Make the decision to start today!
